TED Talk Idea

My final TED Talk idea will be on “A Flush down a Comedy Portal” — on the place of comedy and humor in the world, in our lives, and finding comedy gold in difficult times. I will first debrief on what makes comedy, the barebones of a joke, and the message that comes across. I will then discuss why comedy is important with regards to its message as well as its side-effects. And finally, I will go into what situations we often come across and what we should look for in those situations as budding humorists. My goal is to set the audience on a course towards training their comedic eye so they can begin to use humor intentionally in their lives.
